We’ve been doing this whole custom home building thing for a long time, and we’ve made it through many economic corrections and recessions. Carl has been a custom home builder for 40 years, and his son Adam has been at it for 12. Most of our crew of carpenters have been working with us for 15 – 20 years. We believe that this makes us the most experienced custom home builder in the Central Valley.

Communication

One of the biggest gripes we get from clients with past experiences with contractors is their lack of communication. And that’s why we do our best to be responsive. And also do our best to go over every detail of your home build with you before we implement it. This saves time, money, and headaches. But it also requires our clients to be able to make regular site meetings with us to go over these details.

Transparency

We do our best to be honest, open and upfront about what we can and can’t do. And our transparency is most seen in the way we invoice. We don’t take deposits, ever. We only bill work that has been completed and is satisfactory. And every bill has a copy of every receipt, invoice, and our carpenter’s hours. You see everything that goes into your project.

Dependable Custom Home Builders

When we finish projects, one of the most common things we hear from clients that have worked with contractors before is how amazing it is that we’re constantly on site. We don’t pull off projects to go to others unless it’s absolutely necessary. The downside of this is that once we get our machine that is Gabbert Construction moving in one direction, it’s difficult to change gears in the middle of a project. So our projects are usually scheduled months in advance.

Problem Solving

With our core group of subcontractors that just as time tested and experienced in their trades as we are in ours. There aren’t many problems that can come up on a job site that we can’t problem-solve and fix. From building codes to planning departments, to special details we haven’t dealt with. We are confident that we can take it all on.
